Silver bracelet of the hexagonal tile designed by Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona (silver and gold plated).
The Gaudi Hexagonal Tile bracelet is inspired by the tiles designed in 1904 by the modernist architect Antonio Gaudi that he made together with the Escofet house for the Casa Batllo (which is located in Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona). However, delays in its manufacture meant that it was finally used for the service rooms of the Casa Mila, "La Pedrera".
This tile is monochromatic and has drawings inspired by the marine world made by reliefs: a starfish, a conch fossil and a seaweed. Each tile has one third of the components so that if you put seven pieces together you can see the complete components.
Today we can see this original tile in "La Pedrera" and an adaptation for outdoors that was made in 1997 in homage to the architect in Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona. Likewise, we want to pay tribute to such an important figure for architecture as Antoni Gaudí and our city with this version of Gaudí's hexagonal tile in sterling silver.
Thelength of the bracelet is 19'5 cm in total (16cm plus 3'5 cm of adjustable extension) and the measure of the detail (of the tile) is 15 mm from vertex to vertex and 6 mm each side of the hexagon. The bracelet is made of polished 925 silver (the relief of the figures) and the background is silver with matte finish so that the marine details stand out delicately. It is also available in sterling silver with 18K gold plating.
