ROUND FLOWER OF BARCELONA BRACELET (PANOT)

The Flower of Barcelona Tile is a bracelet with the detail of the representation of a flower, a  design of a typical tile of the streets of Barcelona. 

The iconic Flor de Barcelona (panot) tile was first documented in 1906 when the Barcelona City Council decided to hold a public competition to pave the streets of the city and put an end to the mud on them. Five models of hydraulic cement tiles were chosen, including the well-known flower. Until recently the design was attributed to the modernist architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch because of its resemblance to the tiles at the entrance to Casa Amatller (Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona), but studies in 2013 confirmed that it was not the same design.

The Flower of Barcelona motif measures 12 mm in diameter and the total length of the chain is 12 cm plus a 5 cm extension (total length 16,2 cm). Adjustable.
