Necklace with flower tile pendant, typical of Barcelona's modernism. Chain included.
The Baldosa or Panot de Barcelona pendant is a pendant with the flower design of one of the most emblematic tiles of the streets of Barcelona.
The iconic Flor de Barcelona (panot) tile was first documented in 1906 when the Barcelona City Council decided to hold a public competition to pave the streets of the city and put an end to the mud on them. Five models of hydraulic cement tiles were chosen, including the well-known flower. Until recently the design was attributed to the modernist architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch because of its resemblance to the tiles at the entrance to Casa Amatller (Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona), but studies in 2013 confirmed that it was not the same design.
The size of the pendant is 8 mm with a 40 cm chain included.
If you want the chain to be 45 cm you have to note it in the comments before proceeding to checkout.
Available in 925 sterling silver with matte finish.
