THREE EYES BRACELET (TURKISH, GREEK or NAZAR)

Bracelet with silver chain and detail of three "Turkish" eyes of crystal and dark blue and white enamel of 5mm diameter.  The bracelet is 16 cm long plus 3 cm adjustable extension (total length is 19 cm). The clasp is a carabiner clasp.

The origin of this highly prized charm dates back to ancient Egypt and Babylon and was adopted by Turkish and Greek culture.

It is an amulet used to protect against the well-known "evil eye": the negative energies of envy. It is believed that bad feelings are projected through the eyes because it is the most expressive part of the body. The amulet in the shape of an eye is used to distract the gaze of the one who has the evil eye. This is why the Turks and Greeks have the custom of wearing a Turkish eye for protection.
