Meaning of the Turkish, Greek or Nazar Eye.
The origin of this highly prized charm dates back to ancient Egypt and Babylon and was adopted by Turkish and Greek culture.
It is an amulet used to protect against the well-known "evil eye": the negative energies of envy. It is believed that bad feelings are projected through the eyes because it is the most expressive part of the body. The amulet in the shape of an eye is used to distract the gaze of the one who has the evil eye. This is why the Turks and Greeks have the custom of wearing a Turkish eye for protection.
The blue colour of this eye is associated with water, which is a sign of good karma, good energy and protection against the evil eye.
